Enjoy a warm poked beer by the fire at Zoo Idaho. We will have fire pits, music, food, a s’mores station, and yard games. This is a fun, family-friendly winter day at Zoo Idaho! Admission for those under 21 or not drinking will be $5.00. You must be 21 years or older to enjoy the beer—full ticket includes admission, stein, and first drink.

The Poky Prowl is a family-friendly community fun run designed to celebrate health, outdoor recreation, and Idaho’s incredible native wildlife. Hosted by the Zoo Idaho Zoological Society, this unique event invites participants of all ages to walk, jog, or run while supporting wildlife education, conservation, and community engagement in Pocatello. With a fun and approachable atmosphere, themed activities, wildlife encounters, educational booths, and local vendor participation, Poky Prowl is expected to draw families, fitness enthusiasts, animal lovers, and community supporters from across Southeast Idaho.

Join us for a festive Winter Animal Enrichment Day and bring a little holiday cheer to the residents of Zoo Idaho! Enjoy hot beverages, festive music, and a day of winter fun! Help fill an animal stocking and provide special treats and enrichment items that keep our animals happy and healthy during the colder months. Come to the zoo to see the animals enjoy their new gifts, all while you enjoy hot beverages, festive music, and a day of winter fun!

Science Trivia Night
2nd and 4th Mondays of Every Month
6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Come out and enjoy our reimagined zoo science trivia night for teams of 1–4 people. Test your knowledge on various science trivia topics. Topics and questions are created by zoo staff and are for all ages and education levels. This fun program is FREE!!! Follow our social media to find out the current month’s topics.
